Bluefim26 when the cheese hits hard 8 months ago see moreYou need either forge/fabric/quilt installed with the game. If you look at the version list, some have them already installed. Once you have done this, place your mod into the mods folder. The mod needs to be for the specific mod loader/game version though. (You can find mods online. Eg. CurseForge, PlanetMinecraft etc.)

Minecraft --> Game --> ModsHope this helps :)

Also I tried adding optifine it worked then i had to get a new computer (im playing on my school computer :/ ) and know it wont show up... I mainly want optifine because zoom and jsut learned alot of new stuff. And the torch... Hope you have a great day potato and comment to u soon!
